My wife sez that if you've had oil spots on your sweatshirt for months, they probably won't come out. Seems like the dryer kinda "sets" some stains. If, however, you catch it before you wash it, her best luck is with a spray on called "Resolve - formerly Spray 'n Wash". On a related note - if I go to the shop, even if just to look, I wear clothes that are already grease stained, because I'm certain to come back with something new stuck to me. Also - my wife won't hardly let me walk past her washing machine, much less put anything in it.
