yep i ve been there with pump seals blowing out. I also put the pump seal retainer on the pump cover that a 4L60E uses too.
I hate the early 700's. 82-86 are bad. won't even touch em. the 87 to 93 were better design. still don't like em. You can rebuild those lil suckers perfect and they still blow up from a problem with the TV cable or sticking TV Boost valve.
