I didn't see the oil pump, but he must of had someway to lube the engine. We ran V12 cylinder engines on a stationary dynamometer after the engine was torn down and measured. These engines were made by Continental Motors out of MI. They were 1790cid gas with turbochargers. They were used in some M47 Tanks and the M48 Tank and the late M48's had the 1790 V12 Diesels before the M60 was built. We ran them on the test stand too for 240 hours. The same company built the diesels and these were all air cooled engines. We also ran drawbar and full load cooling tests on these vehicles.
