Used to be a Brake repair chain around here that advertised their "Friction reline" service. At the time dad and I were doing alot of brake and friction clutch relining for our customers cranes. Given the price of lining, rivets, and the time it took to do everything I threatened many times to give them a call and tell then I actually had some 'friction's for them to reline and could they do them for the stated low price... Yep, there are some really stupid and/or outright condecending adds out there made up by folks that simply don't have a clue..
