My woods is not overgrown; even though my Dad logged it off when I was a teenager over 50 years ago. I am getting some really nice red and white oaks and I also have some really big white pine and hemlock. I have a lot of young maples but I will probably not live to see most of them become large enuf to harvest. Too bad, as they are the most valuable here in upstate NY. A forest of lumber trees is like money in the bank and every annual tree ring is like interest.
