Had to be old if it still said G.E. on it, as I believe the new name of the same plant near me in Waterford N.Y. is Momentive Performance Materials, formerly G.E. silicones, and its been a few years since the change if I recall, this website (link below) shows the G.E. trademark, but its not on the tube, under license to Momentive.
Their product is a good one or was, though in commercial applications, I never used them because the warranty service could not compete with Dow Corning, if you ever find a supplier of Dow Corning, its excellent sealant, 790, 791, 795 etc. and they back it, as long as the installation, is within their design tolerances,(joint size etc.) It can also be used in structural applications, meaning it will bear a load, not sure how much or what the details are on that, been a few years, but we used it in structural glazing.
