None of what you are describing, happened when the slaughter plants were open, before peta jammed through that they should be closed, a couple years ago. What happened when they were closed, was that horses, which were healthy enough for slaughter (in years past), were being abandoned in public parkland, along the sides of highways, etc. Also, double decker hog trailers were being used to transport killer horses to Canada, cruelly.
Which is more cruel, abandonment and/or cruel transport, or a local humane slaughter plant?
