I pulled the two point fast hitch out of the bottom of my farmall 460. It damaged the threads in the casing enough that I can't get the three bolts to torque back down. I considered Helicoils as a possible fix, but have heard that they really don't do much. I would like to know if it is possible to drill an additional hole(s) in the casing and steel plate and add a bolt or two, in addition to putting helicoils in the current holes? How about just tapping the old holes out and going with a 7/8 inch diameter bolt instead of the 3/4 inch that are in there now? I am obviously concerned about drilling through the casing and creating a leak, or weak spot. Thanks, Kevin.
