Does it white smoke after you get it running??? If it does then it is low on compression. These little diesels are touchy on low compression.
Is the starter really spinning it or is it cranking slow? If it is slow check all of the cables. I have been getting cables that look good but are corroded under the insulation. Bend the cable along its length. If you get to a place that is harder/stiff then it is corroded there.
