I jst split a 4020 that had the same thing happen. The clutch was less than a year old. What caused it to happen was the yoke that holds the push tube was wore out causing it to jam and hold the bearing againt the fingers. The other guy that put the clutch did not see that the yoke was wore out. The only way to replace the yoke is to split the center section from the rear end. JD calls it the shift collar # AR32182 or AR49147. The tube is # R41872. Dave
