dave2,your comments about dna prompts me to ask because I am clueless when it comes to horses. Is dna required in registering a horse? I have always suspected unscruplis breeders of substituting animals for registeration. My vet offers services through a third party that determines the liniage of dogs. My understanding is they can sort out the multiple respective breeds of a mongrel. The cost is less than $100. If these tests are accurate,I support thier requirment in resistering all animals. It might be waived for animals that had been sterilized.
