If you keep your ignition circuit seperate. You could put your starting circuit and the lights to 12 volts, and leave the mag. If you wire the lights in series, you could use a 12v system, with original 6v bulbs, also. I had an Allis B that I put an alternator to, while keeping the ignition in 6v.
