Had this one yesterday morning (first morning of gun season) within my sights just after daylight. He was about 100 yards too far for me to shoot since I was trying to hunt the brushy area with my 30-30 and he was in the middle of a field. The wind has been nasty since then and causing the does to stay bedded down or standing still for long periods of time. Our bucks move best when there is no wind and a heavy frost. Neither is in our forecast for the next week. I never have luck on warm, windy, or rainy days. Cold and still is the best.
