Yeah, "note to self"- don't leave ANYTHING where domestic critters can get it.
Wife baked a salmon last night, left it on the counter by the stove. I had to remind her- best case scenario, cat eats it. Worst case, cat knocks some on the floor, dog eats it and gets salmon poisoning and dies.
Turned out OK, at least for us- we ate it. Cat considers that the 2nd worst case scenario- only thing better would have been to take the dog out in the process. Dog is blissfully ignorant of the whole affair, bless his heart. He's not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but then we didn't expect much when we got him, and we haven't been disappointed.
