I would use it. Urethane door and window caulk (Small tube if you can find it) then use duct tape cut into 1/2 wide lengths of 10 inches placed in overlapping strips to hold it so the flap is compressed as much as possible. Let it sit for 2 days and then peal the tape off gently (like it was on your arm!. Mount it and go. It is not a high speed item, and the steel bead reinforcement is not damaged. Use Ru-Glide rubber lube to mount it so it slides easily. Jim
