Have a pasture on a hillside that takes up about 1/3 of the particular area. another 1/3rd is brush and uninteresting, but the last piece gets mowed once a year. Happened to see the guy mowing today and offered to fence it off so he wouldn't have to mow it. Said it's not his that he's just mowing it. Got to talking and the area is labeled as a nature preserve (best translation). Government pays the owner a couple hundred bucks a year to not do anything with it, then pays someone, the guy I'm talking to in this case, a thousand bucks a year to mow and take away the grass once a year in October.... This is a 1 hectare (2.2 acres?) piece.
