I wouldn't trust any accountant that far.
I had the same CPA do my taxes for about 20 years. Seemed I always owed a bunch, maybe a thousand or so.
My taxes finally got simple enough that I said "Screw the CPA", and started doing them myself. The first year I did them myself, I got a $900 refund. Six months later, I got a letter from the IRS stating that they had reviewed the two prior returns and found I had overpaid by some $1800. I didn't get a cash refund, they applied it to future taxes, but so much for CPA's.
I now wonder how much I overpaid in the past that they didn't catch.
