How is Germany for that sort of thing? I friend of mine wants to move there. He actually proposed marriage at castle Neuschwanstein. So, he is familiar. by the way, she said yes. Those dang lovebirds!
I am sure it is like America for tractor travel. I have a 13 foot header on my combine. I can go around the local with no problems, because they all know I am crazy, but if I get outside local, I don't know what to expect. Had a woman beeping and swearing at me as she passed. She cut off 3 on-coming cars. I'm glad she is not dead, but a part of me wanted to see that wreck! LOL
sometimes people just don't know. In the 1950's, if a farm vehicle was on teh road, it was just another day. in 2011, if a farm vehicle is on the road, it almost makes the local news. In 20 years, will it make national news? Will we be forbidden from tramming?
Progress is wonderful, but some people forget where they came from, and if the majority rules, we have a bleak future to look forward to, as farmers, because the majority is not. In fact, the majority seems to be oblivious! Some countries demand[with jail sentence] that you serve 2 years in the military. I wish most countries did the same with farm work. maybe poeple would remember where they came from!
My best wishes. I hope you have a better day and if I am ever in Germany visiting my friend, I hope I can visit.
