That was interesting. I drove up the alcan hwy. in 1980. It is a beautiful country. The road was about 1/4 gravel at that time. It might be all paved by now. There is a lot of truck traffic on that road. On the gravel road, I learned to slow way down when a truck is coming to keep from getting stars in your windshield. Don't ask how I learned that. Many of the trucks are pulling two full length trailers. They like to travel in packs. I Had to stop one time for three moose to cross the road. I thought one big one was going to charge my car. He stopped in the middle of the road and looked at me and then reared up, but he didn't charge and finally followed the rest of them. If gas wasn't so expensive, I would like to do it again.
