Deere and IH overpriced? Wait till you buy Gleaner parts, after you've driven a hundred miles to get them. The reason you don't see many Gleaners anymore is the dealers all packed up and left. Deere and IH parts are not overpriced compared to others and the dealer network is much better. You pay for it now or you pay for it later.
As far as Gleaner being better or worse than the others, It's really hard to say whether one used machine will be more trouble free than another. I've been around a lot of new combines and also used 5000 hour combines of several different brands and it's the same way with all of them them. One will be trouble free and the other will give fits from day one. I've seen combine owners who get upset if the combine sneezes once during a season and I've seen owners wrenching every other day on their machine and not complain about it. It all depends on what your expectations are. Done with rant!Jim
