Thanks to the people on this site, I got the chainsaw going and I'm back in the woods again. It's great to get away for awhile and remember all the time I spend out there with my Dad.
This land was homesteaded by my Great-Great-Grandfather in the 1850's. It is located along the St. Croix River in Minnesota.
It's got about 22 acres of woods and 44 acres in crops with a 5 acre pond on it. At one time it was a full 160 acre farm, and my Father had 126 acres when he was farming.
I can see why he thought it was his little bit of heaven on earth.
Miss you Dad, but I'm sure he is smilling everytime I'm out there.

It looked so fornlorn amongst the lineup of newer equipment. But it was just the right size for my small farm. I stopped in and asked the proprietor for further information.
