Many years ago I had a 1984 Ranger with the 2.8L V6 & 4 speed. I rebuilt it, replaced the stock intake with an Offenhauser intake, a small Holley 4 barrel and a Mallory dual point distributor. It ran pretty good, was kind of a fun project. Got rid of it when I moved to CA. Don't know if parts like that are still available or not.
