Yes, by the ton. I guess in western NY there may be some by the bushel, but I'm right in the middle of the state- Fingerlakes region. Cayuga county to be exact- the largest grain producing county in the state. Wheat is by the bushel. May be something about this being dairy country and corn was just feed. Now with everyone watching the futures, the price is based on the bushel, but translated to tons out of habit, I think.
