Too many scum lawyers out there that will sue you for anything. What I have done is ONLY hire day labor with a person that you know, like BIL, or a Friends son etc.. And pay $100 for an 8 hour day. The best way to make sure that they dont get hurt is to make sure they dont climb a ladder, dont run a chainsaw, only stack the wood etc. I had my BIL over a few years ago. $100 for the whole day I paid for pizza when done. I cut down trees, BIL stacked logs, broke up branches and put in firepit. I didnt let BIL run the chainsaw, cause he has never done it B4. When I built my home 12 years ago I only had subcontractors that had proof of insurance.
