I think that cloudyness is the ethanol pulling the water out of the bottom of the old tanks.
Once the water disappears from those old tanks I bet everything will be fine.
Here all ethanol is mixed and loaded at the pipeline into the tanker trucks as well. There is no cloudy fuel but they have been blending it out for 37 years here. The tanks are cleaned after all these years.
Ethanol pulls very little moisture out of the air. Only time it can is when the container is open to the air.
We're humid here in Iowa as well and no cloudy fuel exists.
