look on the internet for "POR 15", "Kreame" and other products.
They are very expensive.
They usually require several steps.
They usually eat the paint of the outside of the tank near the filler and drain.
They work very well when applied correctly. Some last forever and some dont, so choose wisely.
Some will come off and stop up the tank if not installed correctly, so do every step for correct results.
I use "por15" and other than eating off the outside paint, it is a very very good product. One step is an acid wash and it will eat away rust, fingers, dirt, paint, tires, and about everything else. but the tank will be complete clean and prepared for the next step. So forget about any paint till its all done and you definately have to repaint. But it last forever. It's too expensive for anything other than a gas tank that cant be readily replaced.
"kreame" can come off and flake off in a lot of installations when done incorrectly, so it actually becomes a problem, not a help.. You must install it correctly, so dont do any shortcuts.
Most of these are well used in the motorcycle world for restoring small tanks where you cant buy them anymore. So theres a alot of knowledge on those forums.

As far as I was aware a fordson was a fordson and it was only through trial an
