: RECENTLY BOUGHT A 8N. WANT TO KNOW WHAT PLUGS,WIRES,ETC WORKS WELL WITH IT. ALSO WHAT WEIGHT OIL TO WITHSTAND THIS TEXAS HEAT? Champion plugs, Autolites don't work as well. wires and cap don't seem critical, points/condenser...definetly get a good set. I get mine from New Holland. What I like about them is the points rotate on their own shaft and not on the support pin of the distributer. If the oin gets worn, the accuracy of the points is hard to get. For iol I have just upgraded to the synthetic, good stuff! The oil doesn't get as dirty as fast, ie. not wearing as fast, and It makes the engine run smoother. I was amazed! Plus it will survive extreme temps. My 8N starts instantly even when its -10 without an engine heater! Have fun with your "new" tractor! Rob
