Hudson valley? Just did a search- Ulster county/ Wawarsing- 32 acres $69000. Isn't that a short drive to a metro north line straight into Grand Central? 2008 'asking prices', and the real world now... are a whole different ball game. All over the north east, $2000 an acre will get lookers atleast, more than that, ain't going to move, not in this decade. I didn't like the area compare to others, but I was watching a piece of iriggated land in central Cal, 20 acres, go from $99,000 last year to sold a couple months ago for $40,000. Anything over that anywhere in north America better have a really good story attached....
