To connect You must first make sure the coupler body(s) on the tractor is slid back. This "releases" the retaining balls and allows the tip to fully seat when pushed in. Once pushed fully in, (coupler body slides forward) the retaining balls capture the tip to prevent it from pulling apart and disconnecting. Now the lever needs to be rotated as this opens the check balls, one in the tip and one in the coupler body, and allows oil flow.
