Deere put Stolper cabs on the 20 series as a "factory" cab. They were pretty much built around a stand-alone ROPS. In fact people are now taking those cabs and stripping the "cab" part off and using the ROPS by itself. The Hiniker cabs I've seen do not have a ROPS inside them, but they seem strong enough to take a rollover, not that I ever plan on testing one...
As far as usability, I've put many hours on a 4020 with a Hiniker cab. They're awful - loud, hot in the summer, loud, cold in the winter, loud and.... did I mention they're loud? You're sitting in a steel and glass box that is directly mounted to the frame of a tractor. EVERY noise and vibration goes right through it and into you. Newer cabs like the sound-gard are isolated from the rest of the tractor.
