I've gone to the same mechanic for everything, for probably 30 years. I trust him completely, and I don't require him to save the broken parts or call me if its going to be over $75, as the law requires (unless the customer waives it). He comes and rescues my wife and kids (or me) when needed, and doesn't "fix" anything that doesn't need fixing. But he also looks everything over when we bring a rig in, and fixes anything that needs fixing.

His 30-ish employee summed it up best, when I asked him how he liked working there: "He treats me like an adult, has never asked me to do anything unethical, and I want to work here for the rest of my life."
