They are actually European hornets. Google for that. At two different times, I had their nests in buildings. They are more active at night than most other species of stingers. I used a large bug zapper unit for several nights and reduced their numbers significantly. The unit had to be cleaned out every day. The long distance hornet sprays work, but not just for one spray on one night. Mineral spirits paint thinner works if you have way to spray it on the nest. All spraying must be at night.
