Yes, I grew up just outside East Bend, was pastor at White Plains Friends 82-88, now near Liberty, NC. Used to go through Lowgap going up to Cumberland Knob Park or Galax, VA. Wife worked with libraries in Allegheny, Surry, Stokes, and Yadkin so she passed through your area several times too. Did you have JC Newsome, Glen Robertson, or Joe Gamble as a teacher at Beulah School?
