I read that, and that is pretty scarey stuff. But I can top that in Indiana. Our state supreme court recently ruled 3 - 2 that police do NOT need a warrant or even to knock before entering anyone's home in Indiana at anytime, day or night that they want, and there is nothing that we can do about it. Actually, if a police officer kicks the door in during the middle of the night, because its there and no other reason, trying to stop it will get the home owner tossed in the clink. If your dog that protects your family happens to be sleeping on your child's bed and hears the door being kicked in by someone wearing a badge that wants to come in, no warrant or knocking, and your protective dog attacks and gets shot and killed, or a bullet misses your guard dog and your child gets shot while the officer that kicked your door in is trying to protect him/herself from your guard dog doing what comes natural, too bad, get a lawyer afterwards...
