The Sandwich company was absorbed by New Idea Farm Equipment who was absorbed by Avco who sold the New Idea part to Agro. Sandwich was located in Sandwich Illinois and New Idea had a manufacturing plant and branch there for many years. I have a business card that I carried when I was a Territory Manger That said New Idea Divison of Avco. They actually manufactured the Lycombing Aircraft Engine. They were a very profitable company and New Idea Mangement had high hopes with the availability of money. This when they bought the Minny Mo Uni=harvestor and redesigned it. They also started selling Irrigation Equip. They rejected getting the Valley line of pivots and stuck with hand move. Boy did they miss the boat.
