Anyone have a pet with Diabetes? Our 11 year old little mixed dog had been diagnosed with diabetes several months ago. Wife has been giving him shots twice a day after he eats but he's a picky eater. My wife had surgery last Friday and he didn't eat and missed a shot Thursday night. Friday he wouldn't eat before we left for the surgery and he wouldn't eat later that day so he didn't get his shot again. Saturday morning he was only drinking water and vomiting so I rushed him to the Vet Emergency clinic where they have been giving him IV and checking his numbers. I know he could sense my wife's nervousness about her operation so he really reacted to it. We tried to get him to eat again today at the clinic but could only get a teaspoon of food in him. He needs to get his blood sugar stabilized and eat so he can get his regular insulin shots again. These last few days have been rough on me.
