They could be the originals. My Dad is a mechanical engineer but his personal vehicles never receive any maintenance. He will change the oil maybe once or twice each year. His current pickup is ten years old with 189,000 miles on it. It never has had the plugs or wires replaced. He just runs them until they drop and fixes them up if it is a simple repair. If it is major, he just goes and gets another 3-4 year old vehicle and drives it to death. I am not that way but he does not spend much money on up keep and seems to get by.
