For the second weekend in a row, my town was awash with American flags and rumbling with the roar of Patriot Rider bikes. Last weekend the town was saying goodbye in a memorial service for Chief Petty Officer Rob Reeves; this week the service was for Lt. Cmdr. Jason Kelsall. Both were local guys, classmates at a local high school, and best buddies. Both were SEALS, and they died together when their chopper went down in a dung hill on the other side of the earth. Seems to me the odds of that playing out that way are pretty long, but that's the way it went.
Lt. Cmdr. Kelsall will be buried at Arlington; CPO Reeves will be buried at sea per his wishes.
