are you sure it needs engine replaced ?I have seen broken valve springs and issues with valves sticking. Unless it ate the valve and destroyed the bottom end or put a lot of debris through the oil system why not just repair the head ? If its just a broken spring the head won't even need to come off. A bit more info might help get you better advice.
