It is interesting to see how different people have aged. This is the year that most of my high school class turns 60, and since we didn't get around to having a 40th reunion, we decided to have a 42nd reunion! We always were a little wacky and unconventional.
There were people there I had not seen in many years, and some I see all the time. It is surprising how old some of them look and equally surprising how really young a few look. Some have got pretty big, and a few have shrunk a bunch. I am now taller than our best basketball player, who was several inches taller than I was when we graduated. Some have smoked and indulged in other substances and lived hard over the years, and it shows in their appearance now. But I think the most important factor is genetics. Some guys looked old when we were 30. It was a great time to reconnect with friends that I spent so much time with long ago.
My old junior high girlfriend still looks great! I think tomorrow is her 60th birthday...gotta call and congratulate her.
