Nice looking car for being 48 years young. I think that 63 Mercury we had used 8:25X14 tires. We used tires from Montgomery Ward and I think Firestone made their tires. My brother-in-law came in from MI and had tire problem on the trip down. It had Firestone tires and I told him they were known for throwing their steel belts.
It was getting late and he wanted know where to get another tire so I told him Wards was open late back then and their tires were made by Firestone. He bought a tire only this one had Montgomery Ward on it. He was a vice president in the Michigan Mutual Insurance Co. They bought him a new car every 2 years. He had taken over their NY office back in the late 1960's and was later promoted and moved back to Detroit. Hal
