From my own experience you NEED a good muffler on anything that has a detroit in it. I think the oliver 77,770,88,880,99,990 would be GREAT for pulling a rake, and can be had pretty cheap in good condition. If you are stuck on the bigger tractor I agree that you might find something else to do the raking because you enjoy it so much
