You need to fix the gauge anyhow... why not fix it now? It may tell us what we need to know. For instance, if it fluctuates randomly, the pump could be sucking air. Or, low and steady, possible seal leakage. Of course get the manual, but in the meantime, why not give it a whirl. Fritz
