I re-read my post and realized I wasn't clear about the rubber bulb. The one I got is too big to go in a sink drain, so I went out to the cleanout closest to the clog (a 4" sewer line)outside the house. Turned the water on for just a few seconds, shut it off, and the line was clear by the time I walked back over to check it. Yeah, I wonder if the inventor made any royalties off that bad boy.
