Because of the drought, and 36 straight days over 100 degrees, the local hay crops are either non-existant or running about 1/3 normal. Hay prices are going out of sight; can you imagine what it will cost here this Winter? Coastal 4 X 5 round bales 105 dollars 3 X 3 X 8 bales mixed grass with some alfalfa 110 dollars (shipped from South Dakota) small square coastal 14 X 16 X 32 about 50 55 lbs 10 dollars at up to 12 dollars
