I'll be completely honest with you dhermesc, no I can't explain them, but if you search "oil company subsidies" you'll find enough reading to keep you busy for awhile. When you get done reading, maybe you can explain them to me. I look at it as part of the "trickle down", and how's that working? There has to be a point where they cause fuel prices to lower, at least that's what some folks would like me to believe. Maybe if we gave them all of our money, in the form of subsidies, the price of fuel would be reduced, but I'm skeptical and think they need to be eliminated, but maybe, as you say, they don't exist to begin with. I'm not trying to stir you - I truly don't understand the need to subsidize any industry, but then I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
