With a back blade weight is everything, and a heavy cat 2 blade will do a lot of work. BUT for the work you mentioned a 7" box blade will make you happier. Most will allow you to remove or raise the scarifer teeth when not needed and will allow you to drag and fill very smoothly. There are very few jobs that I would choose a back blade over a box.
