Implement tire will work. They do not tear hay ground as bad. You do need to get at least 8-10 ply tires. The side walls are the weakness. A implement tire is designed for static loads not side draft. I have seen them blow out while turning if you hit any thing that has a point or edge to them. New fresh rubber are the worst. If you do put Implement tires on try to use some that you have the the rubber is harder in due to age. The implement tires are sofe to give a better ride.
What I like better as an in between tire is a the multi rib steering tire. The ribs are more uniform than the three rib tires. These are made to be a steering tire so the side walls are stiffer. I have several sets on my chore tractors. They have held up well.
