Monday Tx set an all time electricity usage record. Tuesday we broke the record that was set on Monday. Will probably break Tuesday"s record today. Power companies are requesting people conserve electricity or there may be rolling blackouts.
Set a record high for the date yesterday - 110. Since records started being kept in 1898, Dallas has only had 12 days at 110. Supposed to be 110 again today. No change in the 7 day forecast - all days 100+.
At 10:00 last night some places around Dallas were still over 100. Night time "lows" are setting new records. Most nights we only cool down to around 85.
News said there were four more heat related deaths. Really sad.
Wet the dogs down again last evening when I got home. Made some mud holes for them to lay in. Added another soaker hose and am watering more of the foundation. Water bill is going to be a killer.
This is really becoming a summer to remember or maybe one we want to forget.
