I also use the generic roundup to control weeds in the driveway, fence rows, and strategic other places. My sprayer is a 3 gallon pump up style so it is not a problem to make sure the sprayer is completely empty after each use, but, I leave the unmixed container out in an unheated shed (I do NOT want that stuff in the house), and if it DOES freeze, I am unaware of it, and it has never seemed to effect how it works. The container of roundup I am using now was purchased 1 year ago. It set out in that shed all winter, and it is still very, very effective.
